Must-have Money Saving Apps
Ibotta – This one is great, because right away you will get a $10 sign-up bonus, and you can get a $5 bonus for every friend who signs up and uses the app. Who doesn’t like free money? Not to mention they have all kinds of rebates on everyday products.
Checkout51 – Checkout51 is very similar to Ibotta, but unfortunately right now they don’t have a sign-up bonus or a referral program. They do offer discounts on generic items you always need like eggs, bread, and produce. Once you unlock a few rebates, they will show you even more!
Smith’s – This is our local grocery store app in Albuquerque (of course you could use Albertson’s or Whole Foods) and it offers additional coupons that you can load straight to your customer loyalty card. (Signing up is super easy) I love this app because it offers an option to create your grocery list based on the coupons you’re using, and once you set your local store, it will tell you where to find products – I think we’ve all wandered around the grocery store once or twice and still come up empty handed – well not anymore with this handy app.
Shopkick – This one is easy money. Once you’ve downloaded the app, make sure location & bluetooth are turned on! Now, when you walk into stores like Wal*Mart and Target, you get points, or “kicks”, for free! You DO NOT need to make a purchase with Shopkick before getting your first $5 Starbucks card. You can watch short ads for kicks, scan items in-store for kicks, and if you choose to buy any of their featured items, you get extra kicks for submitting the receipt. I already have my first $5 Starbucks card and I never spent any money to get my points.
Achievemint – This one isn’t for coupons – it’s for being healthy. Achievemint gives you points based on your activity, walking, eating, etc. Once you have an account, you connect the apps you use to help you stay healthy, such as MyFitnessPal, FitBit, RunKeeper, etc. Again, this is free money for things you are already doing! 10,000 points = $10, and by signing up through my link you automatically get 250 points. What’s not to love?
Must-Have Blogging Tools
BlueHost – This is the platform we use to host Byrd Meets Girl. It is awesome and it is simple to use. And it’s less than $5/month to start your own blog.
Must-Have Personal and Household Tools
Simple – The best online bank ever with a free checking account. Get 1% cashback (more free money!), budget like an expert with their mobile app using “goals”, set aside for bills, vacations, and more. I have personally used this bank for over 5 years, and it is the best!
